When it comes to dating women in college, there really is nothing like a sorority girl. Of course, with sorority girls comes a specific set of rules. While every girl is going to feature different characteristics, each are going to live by specifics set out by their sorority. Due to this, before you become involved with a sorority girl, you better know what the pros and cons are.
Pros
First off, sorority girls are committed. Girls do not become sorority sisters without committing themselves to their sorority. Even after they move out, they are still connected, and all of this is very important. They take pledges when becoming a sister, and it is all about commitment. This means, if she is going to date you, chances are she is also going to be committed to you as well.
Throughout college, it is incredibly easy for people to forget about taking care of themselves. At least, this is true for most everyone outside of a sorority. Upkeep is very important for sorority girls, as they not only represent themselves but their sisters as well. Due to this, they are always going to dress the part and look exceptional, so you don’t have to worry about stumbling into your girlfriend when she walked to class in her PJs and no makeup.
Cons
Drama just seems to follow sorority girls. Whether it is a competition with other sororities out there or just having to uphold their peppy status, there is a certain level of drama that you have to come to expect. If you are not ready for drama, then you need to look elsewhere. Typically, the more girls together, living under the same room, the more drama is going to transpire, and you really are not going to get more open girls living with one another than inside of a sorority.
Sorority girls usually have mixers with fraternities throughout the school year. This means there are going to be all sorts of frat guys around your sorority girlfriend, and some of these parties are going to prevent you from entering. This can bring up all sorts of problems in your relationship. If you are the jealous type, you might want to look elsewhere. Even if you are not, it sometimes can be rather difficult to deal with knowing your girl is always around a bunch of frat guys who might try something with them. To avoid this, you need to avoid a sorority girl.
When you breakup with a sorority girl, you don’t just break up with her, you break up with the entire sorority. This means, if the breakup is messy, you are going to potentially feel the wrath of all of her sisters and they are going to be aiming for you. This can cause all sorts of problems for you later down the line. While it might be fun to say you are dating a sorority girl, you ultimately are going to find that it just not be the right thing for you.
